Action for Ingwavuma
Action for Ingwavuma is a charity that supports a village in a very remote area of South Africa close to the board of Swaziland and Mozambique. Here there is extreme poverty and high rates of HIV / AIDS (40%), resulting in a lift expectancy of 39 years. After discovering the charity, Sam donated 50 water tanks to the village and recently went to see them in place. It took Sam two days to travel to the village, predominantly along dirt tacks. She then spent a further week going to see the residents of Ingwavuma and their new tanks. Sam found the experience upsetting yet powerful and is determined to find more charities like this to support.
